Our nation already has some of the highest rates of chronic diseases and cancers. We don’t want to move towards a future where every third person amongst us becomes a victim to these fatal afflictions. And the only way to do that is to return back to nature and root staunchly for organic farming which uses zero chemicals and zero means of artificial irrigation. We have already started comprehensive education programmes for farmers in the blocks of Hingoli district in our Agriculture Skill Development Centre located at Jamthi (Khurd) and have guided them to give up their chemical based methods and return to traditional organic farming which aims to create a profitable and holistic agro-economy that empowers farmers and gives back to planet Earth in the process. After the programme the farmers are also linked with Agricultural Technology Management Agency (ATMA). Cost per programme Honorarium of 2 resource persons – Rs. 2,000 Honorarium of 2 volunteers – Rs. 1,000 Refreshments – Rs. 1,500 Banner & Adverstisement – Rs. 500 Total Cost – Rs. 5,000 per day for 30 farmers
