"Today`s Children are tomorrow`s citizens". Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of the nation and the citizens of tomorrow. Education strengthens the child’s future. Kids in rural areas go to government or corporation schools walking without any footwear. Even parents are more than happy that their children get to attend school. They do not worry about anything else, because they struggle to make both ends meet and they cannot afford footwear. Whether it is the heat or the rain, they have a very difficult time. Besides the heat and dust, the practice of travelling barefoot could have serious health implications. Walking barefoot could lead to problems such as worm infestation, infections due to thorn pricks or from other dangerous objects such as nails lying on the road. Hence, we started conducting awareness in the schools and distributing footwear for the children. Cost per footwear (Rs. 100 x 100 children) – Rs. 10,000 Admin expenses – Rs. 2,000 Total Cost – Rs. 12,000 for 100 children Cost per child – Rs. 120 Cost for 5 children – Rs. 600
